This project marked my first collaboration with Quarto and my first children's book illustration assignment. While creating the artwork, I was also moving from the UK to Belgium, with most of my art supplies packed away in boxes.

Using Procreate, I challenged myself to create illustrations that felt soft, textured, and full of atmosphere. Drawing foxes, owls, and cosy winter scenes was a joy, as animals have always been one of my favourite ways to tell stories.

The project captures many of the themes I return to in my work: precious everyday moments, expressive animals, and the quiet strength found in family, warmth, and belonging.
